I'm back!

I know that I completely disappeared for a long time, but life had to be done and there were a lot of things that I needed to accomplish. Everything has changed besides the fact that TIME keeps flying by. That's just the usual and I'm still not used to it. I don't think I ever will be. Days feel like minutes and hours feel like seconds... I finally accepted that this is just the way life is when you grow up. Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas is in 36 days... like what? Hayden can you repeat that? Hahaha life is so weird, and I really need to start watching all the Christmas movies I can before the holidays are already over!
The last 4 months have been nothing short of amazing. July I was in Hawaii with my family, which was the best vacation ever! August-September I busted my butt to finish school and YES I did it! The beginning of October I went to Austin, Texas with my mom to go visit my sister and that was seriously awesome. I had never been before and I just really loved it. Lately I've been working, reading a LOT, and enjoying the actual free time I have now... which is super super weird. It's one of the weirdest feelings ever not having to go to school 5 days a week 9:00-4:30.

LAST day of school! 2,000 hours.... done.

Totally dyed my hair pink after I graduated, and it was the best decision ever. Love my momma

My sisters dog, Jerry. The biggest lover

Sister sister

Finn, the kitty love of my life.

The best part of my family living in different places is the fact that I'll always have something to look forward to.

No more pink hair! I did a melted root and I'm letting my hair be until Spring... a break is much needed.

Apple Trees...

Wow! It has been such a long time since I have been able to blog. It feels so good. Yesterday I had a free day with Edgar and I literally just had the sudden urge to go find some apple trees, put on something cute, and grab one of my favorite accessories... my wolf Musa haha. Edgar grabbed the camera and we just went for it. I have missed this!
I've always thought the continuous rows of apple trees were dreamy and I've always just wanted to run through them... and I was right. They are as dreamy as I thought they'd be. So if you're in the need of some simple happiness, please go frolic through some apple trees, I promise a smile on your face. Edgar always tells me you need to trespass sometimes to find yourself in the greatest places haha!
Well besides the fact that it's been a super long time since I've blogged, I've been learning a lot. I wanted to wait to start blogging again until I knew myself fully, and until I could go days and days without putting on makeup and doing my hair and still feel beautiful as ever. I started waking up every morning and literally telling myself "I will not give up on you today Hayden.", and with that mind set I could feel myself start to blossom into the girl I always knew I could be. I started to become myself... and ever since that day where it all just clicked, I've been the happiest human. I've loved myself everyday because of it. My positive attitude has become such a habit now and it's the most refreshing feeling I've ever had in my life!
Before all of this, I remember trying so hard every single day to be this perfect girl, I never accepted my flaws. I thought my flaws were the most hideous things in the world. And it would stress me out to the extreme trying to figure out how I could hide them. I wore so much makeup every single day, I never gave myself a chance to breathe and embrace my naked face or even wear something that wasn't all put together. It was exhausting. And it's so sad knowing now that I used to be that kind of girl! It was a process that took a lot of time to get to where I am today, and I feel so happy to have conquered it all! I love myself today... and if any of you are going through the same thing I did, just know that it will only get better if you commit to loving yourself. It's the most important thing you need to do. It wont only effect you, it will effect everyone in your life, and once you can love yourself with your whole heart you can give your whole heart.
I hope that speaks volumes to someone out there, and I hope you all have a fantastic week...
Happy Monday!

Lover

Oh my gosh, I love this boy and I love this tutu! I also love this weather. So perfect and gorgeous outside. I'm so happy because today marks my third week down of no heat in my hair. I'm sure you all can see that my out growth on my hair is horrid, but... I am not putting another 5N in my hair... nope! Soon I'd like to get a balayage done so I can work my way back to being a blonde.
My hair feels so amazing lately, and I am in love with it.
I hope you all had an amazing weekend!

Hair Diary

I must tell you guys how amazing my hair looks and feels right now! It hasn't felt like this in years. Everyday I am just so happy that I finally made the choice to use no heat for a month. I've been thinking the last few days that I want to do 2 or 3 months though. I just really want my hair to be sooo healthy. Especially because I want to eventually be blonde again. I've cut using products on my hair except for vitamin E oil, and just a tiny bit of Aragan oil after I wash my hair, which is every 3-4 days. I don't want to have any product build up, that's no good.
It's so awesome having everyone support me through this, telling me it's the best decision! Especially my boyfriend who always tells me he LOVES the way my hair looks when it's all natural. That makes me smile. He tells me everyday how proud he is of me for doing this, because he knows how hard it must be for me, because I'm such a lover of doing my hair!
Every night when I have some free time I'll just go look on Pinterest and find natural hair growing tips, and what is amazing for the health of your hair. I have still been doing the coconut oil hair mask, which I posted last week, and if you haven't tried it yet, seriously go go go! It's magical. It's working wonders in my hair right now. I'm so thankful for that mask! Seriously.
One of the things I've learned from research and have been doing on myself is a scalp massage every night after I shower. Even if I didn't wash my hair. I'll put very little vitamin E oil on my finger tips and flip my head over, or just lean back and just massage my scalp... Yes it feels amazing, and this increases blood flow to the scalp, which helps nutrients get to your follicles more quickly. It's stimulates hair growth. You can even do this while you're washing your hair.
I've also NOT been brushing my hair when it's wet. It's so easy to cause breakage when you brush your hair when it's wet. So what I do after I get out of the shower is just keep my hair wrapped in the towel for about half an hour and take it out and then just let it air dry. Sometimes I even slightly run my fingers through it so it doesn't air dry so crazy. If you insist on brushing your hair after the shower use a wide tooth comb.
I think I'm doing a really good job right now of doing all the little things to help my hair plus the big things. I'm getting so used to this, it's becoming such a happy routine for me. I still can't believe I'm finally doing it haha!
If you guys have any other tips for me, or questions, please comment or email me. Thank you!
Xoxo

Beauty High

As you all know I am being such a freak about my hair right now! I just found the coolest thing to try on Beauty High. It's the 30 day challenge of no shampoo. This may make some of you squirm, but the benefits of this are awesome. Instead of using shampoo, you just use a cleansing conditioner. One thing she mentions in the post that I never knew is that after you shampoo your hair and rinse, your hair isn't ever supposed to feel almost plasticky... Hard to run your fingers through. I thought that's just how shampoo made your hair feel, but when this happens it means your hair is dry. It needs hydration. Mine has definitely felt like this during the shower. A little too often!
Anyways, you all should go read the whole post here. I am definitely going to do the 30 day challenge!

My Must Haves

The great thing about jackets, tops, boots, lipsticks, etc... Is that you can almost always find a piece identical, incredibly less expensive. That is beauty. Also, sales.
These are definitely my Fall must haves. I love to stay neutral... And let my lips pop with a red lipstick. I love the little things.
