Mint green leather…

I completely forgot I had these mint green leather shorts, until I found them up in my closet this morning! Haha of coarse. I love them. I can't wait to wear them in the summer time. They're such a pretty pastel color, they'll be perfect.
Speaking of Summer… Who is beyond excited? I seriously can't wait any longer. I just want to be sun-kissed once again!
I hope you all are having an exciting weekend. Right now I'm writing this post in my living room with my WHOLE family… who are HUGE Seahawks fans… watching the game. This is so intense, I can't even put it into words haha. They better win or this will be a very, very sad house!

High wasted denim jeans...

I love these high wasted denim jeans! My sister actually gave them to me because they were too long on her. Haha and guess what?… They are totally short on me! Shocker? No. Of coarse I have to wear another pair of jeans with boots… haha. So funny. Other than the length, they fit me like a glove, so I'm happy!

On the run...

It's so crazy to me that it's already January. It's even crazier to me how quickly time flies…
It feels like I just started school last week but really I started in September! It's so hard to wrap my mind around this. Time flies when you're having the time of your life and staying so, so busy. Just yesterday on my drive to work after school I was thinking about how I haven't just stopped for a few minutes and embraced it all. You know when you just need to step outside in the fresh air and remind yourself who you are, your dreams, remind yourself how lucky you are, catch your breath, and then move along with life… I feel like I need one of those moments!
This last week has been crazy! And I mean crazy in the best way possible. I got chosen featured professional of the month at Paul Mitchell! This made me so happy… It's a good feeling proving myself to MYSELF. I've learned that if I work hard, anything can happen… I can go anywhere, I can be whoever I want to be, I can conquer all things. I've also learned to gather as much knowledge as I can. I am surrounded by a crazy amount of talented, incredible, and intelligent gals at Paul Mitchell, and I seriously learn so much from them every single day… Not to mention- the teachers. We have such amazing teachers at Paul Mitchell and I couldn't be more thankful.
It's really insane thinking back to just last year when I was a senior in high school! Again, I can't wrap my mind around how quickly time flies. I couldn't be happier though. Right now is the time to be busy and working hard, because this is what's going to make me. I always keep that in mind. I'm going after my dreams full speed.

I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend! I'm thankful for all you readers… xoxo!

Black Chucks

I have been wanting black high top converse forever! Just the other day I decided to just go get some. I love them so much, they make me so happy! I like switching up my wardrobe a little every now and then… go out of my comfort zone a little :) I also love a little tom boy style. Usually I will always put on something sparkly for New Years eve but this year I just wasn't feeling it! I never wear jeans, so when I do… I love the switch up.
In case you haven't read in previous posts, my legs are insanely long so it's the hardest thing ever finding jeans that are long enough. With the pair of jeans I'm wearing in this post I put on long socks and scrunched them down a bit because my jeans weren't long enough! Haha it's a little embarrassing admitting that, but you gotta do what you gotta do right? Haha. I actually loved the way the socks looked with the outfit. Like I said before, switching it up or wearing something you never have is a great feeling. I think for the new year one of my resolutions is to really just jump out of my comfort zone, and be confident about it. I love the idea of that.
I'm super duper excited for 2014! It's going to be a big year.
I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and New Year's.
Thank you for stopping by, xoxo

Year round colors...

These are my two all time favorite colors to wear. Summer, Spring, Winter, Fall… any time of the year I feel like they can be worn. Beige with gold studs on the shoulder, and a pale pink shimmery scarf.  I paired the top and scarf with a charcoal legging, and my brown knee high boots that I love.

Truth is, I've basically always stuck to the same routine. The only thing I have recently started doing is using whites. After I apply my BB cream, mineral face powder, bronzer, and blush, I will always start out with the scandalous eyes eye shadow stick on my eyes. It's almost like a clay texture… which I absolutely love because it gives my eyes that amazing base that not only brings out my eyes, it makes my eye makeup stay on all day and looking fresh always! I recently just learned in school last week that with my cool skin tone, white, shimmery light browns, and blue look best on me. This made me so happy because that's what I've always used.
But seriously that white eye shadow stick is amazing. I'm forever addicted to it now! I always tell people it's my life saver. It gives my eyes a great look.
After I apply that, I will dab on my plain white eye shadow with my finger… not with a brush. For some reason I like doing that with the white. Then I will use a brush to do my shimmery browns. I apply that right under my brow bone always. Depending on the day, I'll do more brown than usual or just do a little. It actually all depends on my mood… :) haha.
Next, I apply my Elf black liquid eye liner. Also, one of my life savers. I just love it. And depending on my mood or outfit, I'll do a winged eye, a subtle line, or barely winged. This is harder to explain then I thought it would be! Haha and I never realized how much I do differently with different moods. I'm so crazy! Aren't we all?
So after I apply my black liquid eye liner, sometimes I'll use my gold glitter liquid eye liner. I'll either apply it right under my bottom lashes, or above my black liquid eyeliner. Next I apply my white pencil eye liner right above my bottom lashes. This makes my eyes look so much bigger. I only use it for special occasions.
Finally I apply my mascara. I usually always use 2 or even 3 different mascara brushes. I like to get my lashes looking nice and long.
Sometimes when people ask me what brands makeup I use and I say Elf, they look so surprised. It's honestly such great quality! I love it. And it's so amazing because it's so, so inexpensive. You should all definitely check it out and experiment. I always buy all of my makeup at Target.
Also, a big beauty secret of mine… Just 3 weeks ago I stopped using my face wash. I've been using brown sugar and olive oil. My skin has never, ever been this clear, soft, and just over all pretty. I do this two times a day. Morning and night. I'll just mix the two together and rub it on my face for about 3 minutes. I never have to use lotion anymore because the brown sugar and olive oil moisturizes my face so well. My skin feels amazing.
I've been getting so into lipstick. Now, the days I don't wear it I feel a little too dull! My aunt just gave me Mary Kay Mystic Plum. I am so, so in love with the color. It's so in style right now too.

Here are some of my lip inspiration looks.

Pale pink & mittens...

I had no choice but to wear mittens out today! It's freezing here in Idaho. I haven't had a day off of both school and work since September so today has felt like heaven to me. It's so, so nice just to relax and have fun! I even snuck a nap in. :)
