Black, leopard, and laughs...

"I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person."
Today has been full of laughter. The kind that makes you feel like you just had the worlds best workout. I'm so in love with this feeling. If you can make me crack up.... well, I love you. It's a true blessing to just laugh and laugh and laugh. I'm so thankful for today. Even though Edgar and I started out our day having breakfast at IHOP and had a totally rude waitress haha.... Life is so good :)
So I know I've been slacking this past week, but I've been a busy gal with school. This next week is my last week of not being out on the floor and then the 19th-23rd is my first week of being on the floor! I'm so excited and nervous all at the same time. It's going to be crazy amazing. If you are interested in getting your hair done, nails done, facial, or waxing, and you live in the Boise area, call Paul Mitchell and schedule an appointment with Hayden (me) .... :)
Thank you so much.
In just a little bit I'm going with Edgar to go see the movie About Time and holy cow, I'm freaking out! I just know this movie is going to make my heart melt. I'm excited. I will let you all know how it goes.
Have a great week xoxo

Here is what happened today....

These little girls are my heart! So adorable, funny, and such sweethearts.

Truffles with love

I swear that these truffles will fill you with love. I always get so excited when I have a reason to make them. They are so easy, quick, and PERFECT! And by perfect I mean like really really really fantastic.  You have to try them out!
Here is my recipe!
You'll need...
One big mixing bowl (kitchen aid)
One blender (like a smoothie maker)
One package of oreos
One package of cream cheese
Chocolate chips (to melt)

First, put 6 oreos in the blender, mix until the oreos are almost like a dust then poor the oreo dust into the kitchen aid. Repeat this step until all your oreos are dust. After this you will put the whole packet of cream cheese int the kitchen aid and mix until it's like a paste (it will be kind of sticky).
Role out small balls... you can role them to be however big you want your truffles. Put them on a cookie sheet. Melt the chocolate chips and then drizzle over the truffles.
I actually used pink white chocolate, so you could use any kind if you want.
Let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy :)

DIY jar full of memories...

A very long time ago when my boyfriend and I first started dating I had this mason jar and at the end of every day I would write down on a little piece of paper what we did.  I lost it for I don't even know how long until just the other day when I went to go grab a blanket from the top shelf of my closet and it came falling down! I literally just stared at the jar for 2 minutes then decided to pick it up haha. My heart stopped! I knew that when I opened it, it would be like falling in love all over again. Reading all of our memories together that I wrote down was seriously the best thing in the world. Having something like that I feel is so wonderful... Especially when you're having a bad day. It gives you something to always look back on and smile.
So writing down memories has begun again! And I know years and years from now I'm going to thank myself for doing this. :)
Friday I made a jar full of inspirational quotes and words that described one of the gals in my core class for the character awards we had to do. Each one of us got assigned a person and we had to do a little something sweet for them! It was the best because I think this jar meant a lot to her.... it made me so happy.
I decided I wanted to add a lot of glitter to the jar I made for her... because I'm so sure all you girls know.... glitter is a total motivator these days! ;) What girl doesn't have a thing for glitter? Like come on haha.
After I added the glitter to the jar for my character award I decided to do it on my jar full of memories too. Turned out to be the most adorable thing ever!
Here is how I did it.
You need....
One mason jar
Powdered glitter (or glitter dust?)
Hairspray (Only if you want a lot of glitter action! If you just want a light dusting, don't use hairspray)

So if you are using the hairspray, take your mason jar, take the lid off, and spray just a bit of hairspray inside the jar. This makes the glitter stick... I'm sure that's obvious :) But if you don't want a ton of glitter skip this step!
Then you will poor as much glitter as you want into the jar, put the lid on, and shake shake shake. This is the best part haha.
And there you go! SO EASY AND QUICK.
I love how some of the glitter will get on the the little pieces of paper inside the jar, makes it so magical! There is an endless list of things you can write down on pieces of paper to put inside! Dreams, quotes, memories, bucket list, places to travel, wish list, and the list goes on.... get creative.
If you have any questions let me know :)
Xoxo and happy glittering

Without using hairspray.

With hairspray.

DIY Distressed Denim

I have been asked so many times where I have gotten my distressed jeans, and when I say I distressed them myself, people are like WHAT!?
It's seriously the easiest thing ever. Here is how I do it.
You'll need:
One serrated steak knife (that sounds so creepy haha)
One hard cover book (Make sure it's a book you don't mind if it gets a bit damaged)
& One pair of jeans (Avoid stretchy denim)
First, place the book in the jeans so that when you distress you won't be distressing the back side of your jeans.
Then take your serrated steak knife and do like a back and forth movement, not too hard and not too soft. It all just depends how distressed and how intense you want the holes and what not.
Move the book wherever you distress!
If you guys have any questions let me know.
It's very simple. You'll be a pro distresser before you know it. ;)
Good luck!

For these jeans I went for the more intense look.
And you can pair them with a patterned legging underneath :)

Casual Sunday...

These pants are one of my favorites! I got them for such a good price at H&M, and they fit me so well. Don't you love when you find a pair of pants that fit you like a glove? It's like falling in love, right?
It was way too cold for me today haha. How am I going to survive this winter when it's not even winter yet!?
Today I definitely embraced the leaves. So beautiful.
